The Chuck & Don’s 7K race is part of the National Skijoring Championships. The two-day Championship events include both the Chuck & Don’s 7K and the individual start two-dog 14K race at Theodore Wirth Park on Sunday. There are three Championship categories. First, the best one-dog teams in the 7K will be crowned the one-dog champions (awards for the Championship categories will be on Sunday). Second, the best two-dog team on Sunday will be the champions in the two-dog competition. Third, the best overall teams for the two-day competition will be the overall National Champions. The overall best teams are determined by adding each team’s times together for the Chuck & Don’s 7K and the Chuck & Don’s 14K on Sunday.

Race Format

Skijoring teams will line up side-by-side and will start in waves. For larger waves, skiers will have to self-seed – with the front line reserved for those teams competing for the National Skijoring Championship.
