Race start: 9:20 a.m.
The Hoigaard’s Classic will start at the “stadium” area on top of the hill behind the Chalet.
To access the stadium area, proceed from the parking lot up behind the Chalet, and go up the stairs and to the top of the hill near the snowboard area. Look for the clothing bag drop near the stadium area and start line.
The Hoigaard’s Classic will start in 2 waves of approximately 220 skiers per wave. The first wave will start at 9:20 and the second at 9:25 a.m. Start order is determined by the Loppet’s wave placement criteria.
The Hoigaard’s Classic is a classic/diagonal stride only race that starts at Wirth, is approximately 25 kilometers, and finishes in Uptown, but avoids some of the toughest terrain and includes a bit less skiing on the lakes.

Those not able to collect a bell in person may opt to have it mailed for a $5 fee.
Packet Pickup
Packets can be picked up at the Loppet Registration Center in Calhoun Square on Friday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Saturday from 1:00 to 6:30. On Sunday, packets can be picked up on the 2nd floor of Wirth Chalet at the start area. Participants are encouraged to pick up their packets before Sunday to allow time to resolve any registration issues and to allow you more time to get to your event on Sunday.
Hoigaard’s Challenge
The Hoigaard’s Classic is a Hoigaard’s Challenge event. Do either the Hoigaard’s Classic or the Freestyle Loppet, then complete the Tri-Loppet and Trail Loppet in a single year and qualify for awards and recognition.
Double-Loppet Award
Ski the City of Lakes Loppet and the Mora Vasaloppet in the same year and receive the “Double-Loppet” award. This participation pin goes to all skiers who complete a 25 kilometer or longer event at both the City of Lakes Loppet and the Mora Vasaloppet in the same year. Skiers competing in the Hoigaard’s Classic and the 42 kilometer classic at the Vasaloppet will also be eligible for age-class recognition on a combined time basis.
